Tibble earns England U21 call

Surbiton Hockey Club's Ben Tibble has been selected to represent England U21's at the EuroHockey Men's Junior Nations Championships at Siemianowice Slaskie, Poland.

The former Kingston Grammar School student is part of an 18-strong squad who have been drawn in Group A alongside reigning Junior European Champions Spain, Belgium and France.

England began their campaign on Sunday with a 5-1 thrashing of Spain. Simon Faulkner, Will Hearne, Chris Griffiths, John Kinder and David Becket all netted for England. This was followed by a narrow 3-2 victory over France on Monday.

Their final group game is against Belgium today. Classification matches are being played on Friday and Saturday.
