Quiz events could be answer Esher hospice fundraising

The Princess Alice Hospice in Esher hopes to raise money by encouraging pubs, schools and social groups to organise quiz events.

A Let’s Quiz pack, including question sheets and answers, will be provided to anyone who wants to organise an event. A £5 entry fee for each team is suggested.

Emma O’Hara, the hospice’s community and event fundraiser, said: “The Trivia with Tarrant night last year raised more than £6,500 for the hospice and it showed us that there were lots of people in our catchment area who enjoy quizzes.”

The hospice is hosting one of the first quiz nights, with a staff fundraising evening and the winning team from each quiz will be invited to a grand final in April to compete for a case of wine and a trophy.
