A guide to the perfect civil partnership has been penned by two Weybridge-based gay rights campaigners.
Gino and Mike Meriano were among the first in England and Wales to tie the knot in 2005 when the ceremonies became legal under the Civil Partnerships Act.
They also run gay wedding company Pink Weddings, and as such have plenty of experience dealing with venues and helping couples plan their perfect day.
The couple were approached by publishing house New Holland to write Civil Partnership - A Guide to the Perfect Day and have included everything from drag queens being the new toastmasters to having two aisles in a same sex wedding.
Mr Meriano said: “It’s a fun, light-hearted guide to help people plan their day, based on our experiences with the industry.
“If you want price estimates, recommendations for honeymoon locations, advice on civil partnership etiquette or are wondering where you should have a top table at the reception, the book has it all.
“All the companies which have helped us out over the years are given a free mention at the back as well, as a thank you.”
The book can be pre-ordered online at pinkweddings.biz/thebook

If they are both called Meriano, was it Gino or Mike who said this?
